Who we are
Clef is a social media concierge for pubs, restaurants, bars and hotels, worldwide. In this policy, "we" means Clef and "you" means the venue, and the people at it, who use our service or our website.
What we collect
- Your contact details - name, venue, email address and phone number.
- The accounts you connect - your Instagram, Facebook and Google Business Profile, so we can plan, post and read how your posts are doing.
- The photos you put in your shared folder, and the notes you leave on posts.
- Billing details, once billing is in place.
- Basic website information, such as the pages you visit, collected with cookies you can refuse.
How we use it
- To plan, write and post on your behalf - and only after you approve each post.
- To send your monthly report and to talk to you about your account.
- To answer you when you get in touch or book a walkthrough.
- To keep the service secure and working properly.
Our legal basis
We use your information to provide the service you've asked for (contract), to run and improve our business in ways you'd reasonably expect (legitimate interests), and where needed, with your consent - which you can withdraw at any time.
Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We share it only with the platforms you connect, and with the trusted suppliers that help us run the service, such as hosting and email - each under a written agreement to keep it safe.
How we keep it
Each business's data is kept in its own separate store. We keep your information for as long as you're with us, and for a limited time afterwards where the law requires it. Your posts stay on your own accounts.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to take a copy with you. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
